They could as that does happen sometimes. However if you buy something called a ';filler'; (sold at sallys and all beauty supply stores) It would eliminate that problem. It is always best to buy the correct color hair extension, so you do not have to die the hair extension. It would be like doing a corrective color, which is not guaranteed to turn out the way you want.
With a quality hair extension system, you will be able to color it, but the above limitation that I described is a factor.
I DID THAT ONCE! LOL I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO WOULD D SOMETHING LIKE THAT! ANYWAYS, THEY TURNED OUT FINE, BUT HE FAID FASTER THAN NORMAL HAIR, OR (YOUR) HAIR. EVN THO ITS REAL HAIR, SOMETHING MAKES IT SO THE DYE DOESNT STICK AS WELL. IDK WHYY...SRY.BUT IT SHOULD BE FINE THOUGH AND I DONT THINK THEY WOULD TURN GREEN [[MINE DIDNT]].

I believe that it depends on the Hair Color and Brand you use. Also it could depend on whether the Hair Extentions were naturally blonde.
Probably not, as they would react just as regular hair, but it could possibly be much easier just to purchase hair extensions in the prospective dark brown shade. Hope I helped!
